| John
Regan has been involved in the pro-life movement since 1973.
In 1974 John sold his dry-cleaning
business and with his wife Joan and three children moved to Florida. The
plan was to reenter the broadcasting business in which he had served for
several years as a television weather man and radio news broadcaster.
Unfortunately most "on air talent" employed in Florida rarely sought positions
elsewhere preferring to "stay put" and live the "good life." Consequently
John purchased a large dry cleaning business and made Florida his permanent
home.
A few years later, after
answering an ad in a church bulletin, he found himself working as a volunteer
in prison ministry. Along with a dedicated group of co-workers, he frequently
visited inmates in the county jail and regional prison. A few months passed
and he was elected president of the organization. Three years later
the Catholic Diocese Of Palm Beach was born and John along with his fellow
volunteers disbanded their group and offered their services as volunteers
with the Office of Prison Ministry. Ultimately he was asked by the Office
of Prison Ministry to form a permanent program for inmates at the County
Jail. During this time he continued to distribute pro-life literature in
public places and occasionally prayed outside abortion clinics with other
pro-lifers. Eventually he joined Palm Beach County Right To Life League
Inc. and a year later was elected president. Today he continues to
serve in the office of vice president.
Since 1990 John has been
writing religious books, and a few years ago perceived the need to help
those who have been involved in abortion.
Return of the Children is
a message to all souls that have been involved in abortion, and all those
who are considering it. The message is clear;
"God loves you. If you have
been involved in abortion, repent, and accept God's mercy, forgiveness,
and healing. If you are considering abortion, turn to God for help.
He will help you choose life for your child."
John Regan will continue,
with millions of pro-life Americans, to reach out to those in need and
help them see that all life is sacred. He may be contacted at johndregan@att.net. |
